A Wave Rider's Wish List

I can hardly believe how fast this year has passed. No sooner did I finish Thanksgiving dinner when reality hit, and I knew I was already behind on my holiday shopping.

I’m not a "" shopper, and to be honest I’m just not that organized. Nevertheless, I do try to find the perfect gift for the people on my list.

To help you find the perfect gift for the surfer or the surf fashionista on yours, I did a little shopping and came up with some great ideas.

I decided to go to at 1630 PCH in Hermosa Beach. I love this store. They have a great selection of surfboards, wetsuits and apparel for adults and kids:

• Dakine Long Rack Pads in Black ($30 set of two): I have these on the rack of my car and they have held up great.
• Quicksilver Synchro 3mm Booties in Black ($34.95): An essential for keeping your feet comfy while surfing in the winter months.
• Creatures of Leisure Long Board Stretch Sox ($47): This surfboard sock is a nice way to protect your surfboard from scratches and dings. They are available in sizes for both shortboards and longboards.
• Rip Curl Oceansearch Watch in Mint for Women ($150): I happen to be a fan of Rip Curl watches and this one is no exception. This watch has all the usual functions, plus a preprogrammed moon phase, tide function (preprogrammed tide charts for 200 locations worldwide) and is water-resistant to 100m. Perfect for any surfer girl.
• Hoven Polarized Sunglasses for Men ($65): Hoven makes an assortment of sunglass styles that are fashionable and priced well. Perfect for those bright and sunny mornings after dawn patrol (sunrise surfing).
• Jack’s Surfboards Wood Artwork "Pier Side" ($49): This is a photo that was digitally sublimated on pine. There are a few to choose from, but Pier Side is a great picture of a surfer with his board heading out to beautiful surf conditions at a pier (see accompanying photo.)
• Assorted Knitted Beanies for Men and Women ($15.95 to $27.95): Jack’s carries an assortment of knitted beanies including adorable animal face beanies. Perfect for cold days and trips to the snow.
• Vans Shoes For Kids ($32 to $37): What kid wouldn’t love a pair of slip-on Vans with one of their favorite characters including Yo Gabba Gabba and Hello Kitty? So cute.
• I Heart HB Tee (Kids $12, Women’s $16): Show your Hermosa Beach spirit with this tee in black or white. Added bonus, you can wear it in Huntington Beach too.
