Public restrooms along the Los Angeles County coastline are the latest to face statewide budget cuts, . As budget restrictions have caused the county Department of Beaches and Harbors to reduce its number of maintenance crews, restrooms won't open until as late as 11 a.m. this summer, according to officials.

Seismic Safety

The South Bay Boardrider's Club awarded surfer Matt Mohagen on Friday night at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse for winning this year's . The award ceremony was during an event to raise money for the , which inducted two members—Tom Rice and Richard Mobley—during a ceremony at the Hermosa Beach Pier on Saturday morning. Plus, high school athletes competed in the South Bay's Saturday at the Hermosa Beach Pier.
