We went last year so we thought we'd try it again. It was horrible! The food was served mostly cold Read More& it was almost all red meat that was overcooked & tough (per our friends). Since neither my husband or I eat red meat, it was a total rip-off. They need to think of this when preparing the menu. The only good thing was the beer selection. We won't be going next year.

Hey Lori- I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a good time. The local gastropubs that put the menuRead Moreite ms together for that event were working in our very small kitchen, trying to get over 100 dishes out in a very short period of time, so that could have been why an item wasn't hot. As for the red meat only, there were two menu items that were not red meat, we were serving up chips, guacamole, salsa, and we also had a pizza bar going on all day thanks to Fresh Brothers. The only way we can fix issues is if people speak up. We had another person at the event who was vegetarian and let us know. We helped him out and made sure he had options all day so he didn't feel jipped. We can't solve a problem if we don't know it exists. Just let us know next time and we'll do the best to sort it out. Hope you give it another try next year. Thanks, Sara Saint Rocke

HBPD told me they were helping Redondo Beach PD who had chased somebody into Hermosa. I don'tRead Morethink they found him. It must have been significant for them to use a helicopter.

HBPD is not what they used to be they used to be nice, informing and quick on the scene that allRead Morehas seemed to have changed. They seem to be just going through the motions now. Rude and dismissive is the new MO for them as they slowly show up after a call to them, totally opposite of the HBPD 5-10 years ago. I used to tell people they were the best cops in the world and I not a big fan of cops either but not anymore. Seems as though they are content just hanging out in front of sharkies waiting for something to happen. Not sure what's changed but its not for the better IMO. I say this after last week we had someone try to break into our house at 5:30 AM and it took them 9 minutes to get to our house after calling 911. I called them the next few days to get answers and all I got was a rude dismissive answer that it was handled and I should not be worried about it. Police report in the news blotter refers to the incident but mentions the wrong location, go figure.

I called that night too. (not 911) HB police were very nice and said a suspect had gotten away.Read Moresai d "make sure everything is locked up" and call back on 911 if I need.
