Hermosa Beach Blood Drive : March 18, 2012
We welcomed the sunshine with the cold, crazy winds , nevertheless, a great turnout of almost 50 people brought 40 pints of life saving blood to Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital. Be the Marrow Registry, who was invited to our event signed up 10 new donors! This means 10 more chances for a match for someone with a life threatening disease. THANK YOU to all the blood donors for helping replenish the community's blood supply, and to all who were with us in spirit! To our Hermosa Beach businesses~ The Comedy & Magic Club, El Pollo Inka, Fritto Misto, The Pita Pit, Fresh & Easy Market ~ your generous support of our blood donors is much appreciated. Thank you to the City of Hermosa Beach, our wonderful Providence LCM nurses, my brother Francis for designing our artwork (with the QR Code!) and to Helen Cho Anthos & Larry Wood for filming our video PSA. We hope to inspire more people to become blood donors. As a community, we could really make a difference. "Be a Blood Donor. We Need Your Type!"
