Nominate a Young Volunteer Today for the 2013 Kohl’s Cares® Scholarship Program

Beginning February 1, Kohl’s Department Stores will be accepting nominations for outstanding young volunteers for the 2013 Kohl’s Cares® Scholarship Program. Nominations for kids ages six to 18 will be accepted through March 15 at kohlskids.com. Those nominating a youth volunteer must be 21 years or older.

Through the program, Kohl’s will award more than 2,300 young volunteers across the country with more than $425,000 in scholarships and prizes, honoring kids who have made a positive impact on their communities.

  • Two nominees from each of the more than 1,100 Kohl’s stores nationwide will win a $50 Kohl’s gift card.
  • More than 200 of the store winners will then win regional scholarships worth $1,000 toward their post-secondary education.
  • Ten national winners will be awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships for their post-secondary education, and Kohl’s will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on each national winner’s behalf.

The Kohl’s Cares® Scholarship Program is part of Kohl’s Cares®, Kohl’s philanthropic program, which is dedicated to improving the lives of children. Since 2001, Kohl's has recognized more than 17,000 kids with nearly $3.4 million in scholarships and prizes. Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
