Local business man helps support recovery in over 14 local centers!

After his own struggle with addiction, both personally and within his family,  local Karl McMillen decided that the only way to move forward was to help as many people as he could avoid the same pitfalls and tragedies of addiction. He helped found the Thelma McMillen Center in honor of his late wife, and also the McMillen foundation which supports the Thelma McMillen Center as well as 14 other local alcohol and drug treatment facilities.

On October 1st, the Thelma McMillen Center and the Torrence Memorial Medical Center will be celebrating 10 years of aiding in addiction recovery and helping people start better lives.
