And the Beach Cruiser Winner Is...

Patch picks the winner of a shiny new beach cruiser.

It's National Bike Month, so a shiny new bicycle. We asked our readers to send us photos of them doing something bike-related or with something bike-related—and did you ever!

We received photos of whole families riding bikes, people hopping on bike racks in hopes of getting somewhere and people wishing they had bikes, among other creative ideas. We even received a photo of a bike funeral!

Out of the 57 eligible entries, a Patch editor drew one randomly to choose the lucky recipient of the Patch beach cruiser.

And the winner is … Heather Ellison of Palos Verdes! Congratulations, Heather!

I was under the impression it was a selected winner by creativity, not random. Oh well, congrat's to the winner at any rate! :)

That's a good idea for our next one. I had so much trouble picking the best name for the seal, though, that it might be easier to pick randomly.
