A Pier-to-Pier walk is Saturday, and the weekend includes a fun performance at the Playhouse. Check out these three upcoming family-friendly events in Hermosa Beach:
Bugsy Malone
The Hermosa Beach-based Family Theatre, Inc. kicks off its at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Additional performances will follow Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. The slapstick funny musical follows a cast of gangsters and flappers in New York City during the 1920s. Tickets cost $10 for children and seniors; and $15 for teens and adults.
Pier-to-Pier Walk
The Richstone Family Center is hosting a to raise money for the organization devoted to addressing and preventing child abuse. The walk begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Manhattan Beach Pier and participants walk to the Hermosa Beach Pier and back. The route is 3.4 miles.
Adopt a Pet
The Lovejoy Foundation, a local animal rescue group, at the Pet Mart on Aviation Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will be able to meet dogs and puppies of all ages and sizes.
