City Mural to Make Its Debut on an Event-Packed Weekend
Ballet, comedy, a kids' tennis tourney and a pet expo in the park are just some of Patch's best bets for the weekend ahead.
The city unveils its first mural in the 10-year Hermosa Beach Murals Project. Here are some upcoming weekend events in Hermosa Beach you won’t want to miss:
Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner
Where and when: Kiwanis Hall, 2515 Valley Dr., Hermosa Beach; Friday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Why go: Money will underwrite the cost of a trip for the local Aktion Club, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and whose members are developmentally disabled. The trip is to attend a district convention and work on a service project. Plus, dinner attendees can either “eat in” or “take out” for this good cause.
