Design the New Fiesta Hermosa Logo

The chamber is asking anyone who lives or works in Hermosa Beach to submit a new logo for the 40+-year-old event that draws thousands to the city's downtown Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.

Artists living or working in Hermosa Beach are being encouraged to submit a two-color design for use as the new Fiesta Hermosa logo. The new logo will be used on event banners, T-shirts and other collateral materials, said Matt Bennett of the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, which stages the fiesta.

Entries are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 28th and preferably should be submitted as a two-color jpeg in a horizontal format to info@HBChamber.net

Artists who submit an entry will receive a 50-percent discount to display their wares at this year’s Fiesta Hermosa.

All entries become the property of the Hermosa Beach chamber and the winning entry's designer will receive a free one-year membership in the HB Chamber. The chamber will select the winner.

Since 1972, the chamber has produced Fiesta Hermosa, dubbing it the “Largest Arts & Crafts Fair in Southern California." The event takes place every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) in downtown Hermosa Beach.

This year's Fiestas will once again feature 10 local charitable organizations, selected by the chamber, who will receive funding by participating in serving at the Fiesta’s Charity Beer & Wine Garden. Last year, more than $30,000 was raised to benefit Hermosa Beach charities, said Bennett.

In another nod to all things Hermosa, local chamber member restaurants will receive priority placement in this year’s Fiesta Hermosa Food Court and there will be more performances by local bands to spotlight the local music scene. Live music will be offered on two stages.

Vendor applications and specific entry requirements for this year’s Fiesta Hermosa are available on the chamber’s website, by email sent to info@hbchamber.net or by calling (310) 376-0951.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
