Genetic Roulette Film About GMO at Saint Rocke

The movie screening, a fundraising and awareness event, will be followed by a Reggae Show.

The movie, Genetic Roulette will be shown Saturday at Saint Rocke as an awareness and fundraiser for Prop 37, the California Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act, according to the website Eco Buzz Los Angeles.

Saint Rocke will offer non-GMO food and beverages, including eggplant parmigiana, mozzarella caprice salad, and organic vodka cocktails. The club's regular menu will be available, too.

The movie screening will be followed by a Reggae Show featuring One Drop Redemption, a tribute to Bob Marley.

Attendees at the Oct. 6 screening will have the option to purchase 2-for-1 band tickets, said Sas Hadden, event organizer, on the event's Facebook page.

Doors open at 6 p.m., the movie starts at 7, and the Reggae Show begins at 9 p.m.  Tickets are $5 for the movie and $12 for the Reggae Show.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for One Drop Redemption and are general admission and do not guarantee seating. For reserved seating and tables, call Kate at 310-372-0035 between 12-5 p.m.

To attend the movie, RSVP on Facebook or email labelgmosmoviescreenings@gmail.com.

Saint Rocke is a 21 and older venue.

Another movie screening, open to all ages, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Hermosa Beach Community Garden, according to organizer Jim Montgomery.
