Jasmine Faulk Gets Toys R Us Shopping Spree

The Hermosa Beach Police Officers Association treats the 10-year-old and her brother to some holiday cheer. Jasmine is battling a rare form of pediatric cancer.

The Hermosa Beach Police Officers Association took Jasmine Faulk and her brother Jacob on a holiday shopping spree at the Toys R Us in Torrance Saturday.

The day was meant to cheer up Jacob and 10-year-old Jasmine, who is undergoing aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment in a battle against a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer.

HBPOA paid for the shopping spree and did not use funds that have been donated for Jasmine's medical treatment, said HBPD Sergeant Robert Higgins.

Just last week, Charlie Sheen and Manhattan Beach resident Eddie Braun, a stunt man, donated $100,000 to Jasmine's medical fund.

Uniformed officers showed up to support Jasmine and Jacob during their shopping spree; Jasmine's dad Everitt is an HBPD motor officer.

Higgins said there has been an incredible outpouring of support from area police departments and citizens.

On Saturday at Toys R Us, the Faulk family was presented with $100,000 in checks from Sheen and Braun.

Information on Jasmine's plight can be found at www.jasminefaulk.com or on the Facebook page Hermosa Beach Police Officers Association (HBPOA) Supports Jasmine Faulk.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
