Landmark Hermosa: Centennial Wall

If you guessed the Centennial Wall by the skate park for our morning trivia, you were right.

The "Show of Hands" wall at the corner of Ardmore and Pier avenues in Hermosa Beach was created to mark the city's centennial.

Residents, leading up to the centennial on Jan. 14, 2007, painted the town in celebration as part of the "100 Acts of Beautification" project, according to city archives.

More than 1,000 hand and footprints now fill the walls of the skate park.
