Musicians to Play Benefit for 'Big Daddy-T'

Hermosa Beach's Tony Wisler "Big Daddy-T" needs help paying for emergency medical expenses.

Eight local bands will come together Saturday to support fellow musician Tony Wisler at a benefit event at Suzy's Bar and Grill in Hermosa Beach.

Wisler, also known as "Big Daddy-T" has been struggling to pay medical expenses from a recent emergency surgery.

The event, which will feature continuous live music throughout the day, will begin at noon on Saturday and run until 10 p.m.

"Tony has had huge medical expenses due to recent emergency surgery, so his friends and fellow musicians are throwing a benefit concert in his honor to lend him a hand," organizers said in a release.

Wisler has been a regular host for the Blues Jam event at Suzy's.

"The jam has become a popular forum at which local musicians can showcase their chops largely due to the friendly and inclusive atmosphere Tony fosters, enhanced by a smoking house band and a steady rotation of great players," organizers said. "Tony has played and toured with some major acts and is a wonderful musician in his own right."

Ticket's for Saturday's event will cost $10 with proceeds going towards Wisler's medical bills. Each band will play a 45-minute set and all ages are welcome at the event.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
