This year's kicked off Saturday with both elite athletes and community members participating in the 24-hour run along the Hermosa Beach coastline to raise money for Hermosa Beach public schools—the race is scheduled to end Sunday at 12 noon. The first Hermosa 24 was held last year, when local father Christian Burke .
