Resident Spotlight: Kai Kohrogi

This local youngster teams up with skateboard pro Issey Yumiba at the Hermosa Beach Skatepark.

On sunny afternoons Hermosa Beach resident Kai Kohrogi, 6, enjoys learning new tricks and moves at the Hermosa Beach Skatepark on Pier Avenue. Kai takes skateboarding lessons from pro Issey Yumiba, 22, who has been skating for nine years and lives next door in Redondo Beach. The two skaters, along with Kai's older sister, shred the park during a quiet Monday in March.
