St. Patrick's Day Parade Steps Off Saturday

Rain-delayed parade is set to go after last Saturday's rain storm postponed the event.

The city of Hermosa Beach will finally get its chance to show its Irish Pride Saturday morning as the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade finally steps off at 11 a.m. along Pier and Hermosa Avenues.

The parade, originally scheduled for March 17, was postponed in anticipation of last week's storm, which dumped over a half inch of rain in the area.

The parade is sponsored by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and will feature nearly 100 local businesses, civic groups and school marching bands. The staging area will be along Valley Drive, and the parade will begin at the intersection of Valley Drive and Pier Avenue.
