Surf Party Launches Walk of Fame Weekend

Hermosa's surfing history comes to life with a Friday night party put on by the HB Historical Society.

Hermosa's rich and legendary surfing culture shines this weekend as the Hermosa Beach Historical Society hosts a kick-off party Friday night for the Surfers Walk of Fame Induction and Spyder Surf Fest.

The "meet and greet" party will give attendees a chance to mingle with notable surfers, enjoy a silent auction courtesy of Spyder Surfboards, enjoy live music from Bullys & Matadors on the patio and see local art displays and a surf museum exhibit. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

2013 Surfers Walk of Fame inductee Mike Doyle will be introduced at 7:30 p.m. followed by a screening of John John Florence's surf film, "Done."
