Walk on The Strand to Raise Funds for Safe Drinking Water

The Samburu Project's 4-mile walk on The Strand aims to get safe drinking water to people in northern Kenya.

A family-friendly fundraiser is set to take place Sunday in Hermosa Beach as participants walk four miles on The Strand to raise funds for The Samburu Project's Walk for Water.

Beginning at 8 a.m. at American Junkie restaurant at 68 Pier Ave. and ending there, the 4th annual event, which includes a pancake breakfast, aims to raise money to provide safe drinking water for people in northern Kenya.

Participants can check in at beginning at 8 a.m. The walk starts at 9 a.m.

The pancake breakfast begins at 10:15 a.m. and a raffle will take place during it.

If you have yet to register, you can do so at 8 a.m. sharp in front of American Junkie.
