Two sidewalk sales are scheduled to hit the Beach Cities this weekend. Plus, don’t miss the Taste at the Beach in Hermosa. Here is a roundup of some local happenings this weekend.

MB summer sidewalk sale

Where and when: Downtown Manhattan Beach; Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Where and when: Brixton, 100 Fishermans Wharf, Redondo Beach; Friday, 8 p.m.

Why go: The Beatles and the Rolling Stones as two of rock's greatest acts get the tribute treatment—21 and over, please.

Corona Light Wide Open beach volleyball tournament

Where and when: North side of Hermosa Beach Pier; Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.

Why go: The top 24 ranked teams based on the USA Volleyball Beach measuring system will be entered into —watch them battle it out on the local sand.

HB summer sidewalk sale

Where and when: Downtown Hermosa Beach; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why go: Visit Hermosa Beach shops in your neighborhood, and stroll the downtown sidewalks.

Chalk festival, dolphin dash

Where and when: Redondo Beach Pier, 100 Fishermans Wharf, Redondo Beach; Saturday, 12 p.m.

Why go: Art, music and fun come together to transform Redondo Beach Pier into a stunning concrete canvas. Go ahead and . Immediately following the festival, at 4:30 p.m. is the . See which little dolphin makes it around the pier first (proceeds benefit the Redondo Beach Library).

Taste at the beach

Where and when: Hermosa Beach Community Center, 710 Pier Ave., Hermosa Beach; Sunday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy of  and wine from local restaurants as well as live jazz from the Brian Sisson Trio. The event is hosted by the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club and raises money for local causes.
