Wine Pairings for Girl Scout Cookies: Samoas & Port?

You know you're probably going to down a few boxes this cookie season, so let our double expert - a restaurant publicist and scout troop leader - match your favorite type with a compatible vino.

Back by popular demand we reprise our Girl Scout cookie-and-wine pairings, from Patch contributor Elizabeth Borsting, who knows her way around fine dining.

She's a publicist for restaurants, destinations and national hotel chains and, not coincidentally, a volunteer Girl Scout troop leader who starts each cookie season with a trunk load of easily 50 boxes of cookies. A volunteer pusher, of sorts.

To help unload the last boxes a few years ago, Borsting came up with the Girl Scout cookie-compatible wine list. You would not want to drink a fine Cabernet with, say, Trefoils, now would you?

And since there's an app for everything, there's also a Girl Scout cookie locator, and details on how to find your Hermosa Beach source.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
