Big Daddy T host Open Mike at Suzy’s Bar and Grill in Hermosa Beach
Hermosa Beach CA. Big Daddy T will perform and host an open mike at Suzy’s Bar and Grill, 1141 Aviation Blvd, Hermosa Beach CA. on Sunday April 22 between 2:00 and 5:00PM.
“In this modern age of ‘information’ it is clear that a sense of community has been lost” says T-Bird Wisler, bassist and vocalist of Big Daddy T, “There is a separation between people, which is greater now than it has ever been, but there is one place that community still exists, the blues jam. On a Tuesday night or a Sunday afternoon, when the musicians of that small community gather together to play and to swap stories and to simply enjoy each other’s company, something special happens.”
It has many different names, open mike, blues jam or guitar pull, it doesn’t really matter what its name is. What matters is the connection that people feel and Suzy’s Bar and Grill is a great example of that neighborly feeling, friendly and comfortable. With a small stage and a nice PA, the best word to describe it is intimate.
“I used to attend guitar pulls in Nashville. They were hosted in people’s homes and they were as friendly and welcoming as anything you can imagine,” says T-Bird. “That’s the kind of vibe we want to create at Suzy’s.”
