Harmony in Hermosa

SoundStage of Rancho Cucamonga wins the Los Angeles regional of the Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival, held Saturday night at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse.

They came. They sang. They conquered.

SoundStage, a six-member a cappella group from Rancho Cucamonga, took first place as the Los Angeles regional Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival Saturday night at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse. 

The group--composed of Jammie Hampton, Kim Reed, Bradley Hampton, Joseph Livesey, Kyle Bowen and Ryan Williams--next heads to San Rafael in the Bay Area for the May 15 national championships.

The Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival is in its 26th year and is the premier event of American vocal harmony music. The Los Angeles regional is one of eight regionals nationwide.

Last year's winner, the Los Angeles-based quintet Evolution, hosted the event.
