Question: Can you tell me what I should and should not stay away from in terms of cuts? I get from what you kept that longer tunics with leggings are good for me, but if i want to wear jeans, what style top is best? Or what style dress? I just want to get a clear understanding of what I should NOT go for.
Answer: Haute Hippie is very cute it’s just that for the money even at your discount, the price point is still so high…There is no such thing as a stay away from..it’s how to balance with what you want to wear like a math problem…Haute Hippie does have a little resale but not as much as Prada…that’s more my point…
At this point you can either build a wardrobe that you can just wear because you have nothing or you can create strategy by shopping resale even at Decades Two and Ina’s and then trading it back to them for a smaller percentage than I would be able to get for you….
Either way, it’s more of a return whether you see me again to be buying….than wearing…than selling and repeating the process….get in bed with a favorite resale store here, so you can recycle your wardrobe dollars from the get go since you have been the last one to take be taken care of.
This is advanced but take it from someone who could buy a ton of crap but better shoes, that’s still a lot of years of buying crap.
I am also teaching the clients who have never bought on sale and only on retail the same thing. They may be buying the best labels and understand to give them to the resale stores but if they buy on sale…then resell..it’s more of a leasing your wardrobe than buying..
Only because of the recession will anyone consider what I wrote about in 2007 book Closet Control……and not every one will do it that’s why I began selling between client to client no one has that was someone else’s prior vibe that would have occurred before we got a wake up call by our banking system:)
Strategize what you buy when you are buying for a return later, esp. with your discount on Gilt. You could even perhaps make money on those better labels:)
