Bath Bar Opens Flagship Store in Hermosa Beach

Hermosa Beach resident Kristina Vogel celebrates her store Bath Bar's grand opening downtown Saturday.

In 2007, surfer and Hollywood makeup artist Kristina Vogel decided to move to Hermosa Beach and live where she wanted to live.

Now, some five years after that move, the woman who heads the makeup department for the TV show 90210 and has been doing makeup professionally for 18 years is sharing her body washes, lotions, scrubs for the shower, bath soaps and salts, perfume and men’s products at her flagship Bath Bar store in Hermosa.

Bath Bar, 205 Pier Avenue, #100, is celebrating with a grand opening Saturday.

Vogel, whose products are chemical-free, paraben-free and cruelty-free, and depending on your choice, can be organic, has worked with all types of skin and wants her products to pamper you and your skin.

The base product is made in a lab and customers can customize their fragrance from more than 100 scents or use one of Bath Bar's signature fragrances: zen milk, magic blossom, lazy daze, or pom star. Customers who use their original container on a new purchase will receive a discount.

Vogel, who has two Emmys and a Makeup Artist Guild Award, has done makeup for Kyra Sedwick on The Closer, The Martin Short Show, Mad TV, and the movies Disturbia, Eagle Eye, Transformers and Tombstone.
