Cheapest Gas in Town

As gas prices continue to soar, Patch finds that the stations here in Hermosa are cheaper than in surrounding areas.

With the price of regular gasoline surpassing $4 a gallon here in Southern California, filling up the tank is hitting local wallets hard.

The high cost of gas is a result of local prices increasing by double digits last week, according to the Auto Club of Southern California.

“Continued Middle East tension has pushed oil prices to levels not seen since 2008, which was the only other year gas prices were this high,” said Auto Club spokesperson Jeffrey Spring in a statement.

“As we head into the traditional months for gas price increases, the Auto Club advises motorists to conserve fuel by regularly checking and correcting their tire pressure, refraining from speeding, carpooling when possible and removing unnecessary excess weight from their vehicles,” he said.
