Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar El Segundo Presents An Evening to Benefit the Scott Newman Center

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar  in El Segundo is proud to host a fundraising dinner to benefit the Scott Newman Center and its Rowdy Ridge Gang Camp, which offers a free, life-affirming summer camp program for women and children in recovery from the ravages of drug addiction and domestic violence.  All of the proceeds from the $125, four-course dinner on Saturday, April 21 will go directly to help families attend Rowdy Ridge Gang Camp. In addition, a silent auction will raise funds for the camp.

Fleming’s Chef Partner Mark Ogren has created an exceptional fundraiser dinner menu that will be paired with premium wines from Robert Foley Vineyards.  The meal will begin with Cedar-Roasted Mushroom Flatbread paired with Robert Foley’s Pinot Blanc Napa Valley NV.  The winery’s 2009 Petit Sirah will accompany the second course of New Zealand Petite Lamb Chops.  A Filet Corleone, wrapped in prosciutto over mushroom parmesan risotto with Madeira sauce, and 2008 Robert Foley The Griffin California comprise the third course and pairing.  Finally, the meal will conclude with Salted Caramel Bread pudding à la mode, as well as coffee and tea.

Actor and humanitarian Paul Newman founded the Scott Newman Center in memory of his son to provide drug prevention education, research and programming for families affected by drug addiction.  For more than 30 years, Rowdy Ridge Gang Camp has been an integral part of the center’s overall treatment plan for its clients.
