Fresh & Easy: Nominate Hermosa Cause

The grocery store donates to a nonprofit in the neighborhood of where it opens a new location—and now that includes Hermosa Beach.

The Fresh & Easy grocery chain hasn't opened its Hermosa Beach location yet, but it's already planning a way to give back to the community.

Hermosa Beach residents are invited to nominate a local nonprofit to receive a special donation from the company once its new opens up on PCH.

"Every time we open a new store, we donate $1,000 to a local nonprofit group based on the suggestions from the neighborhood," according to the company's website.

The company has announced that it plans to open its Hermosa Beach location early next year at PCH and 8th Street.

Now residents can nominate a local group online to receive a $1,000 donation from the grocery store on the day of the store's grand opening.

Instructions on the Fresh & Easy website state that "store employees will gather the nominations and select the group that best fits with our values as a good neighbor."
