Gas Prices Take a Slight Dip

After rising 43 times in 45 days, gas prices have fallen for the third consecutive day.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline fell to $4.282 Monday, a decrease of 0.4 of a cent.

This is the third consecutive decrease—prices fell 0.2 of a cent Saturday and 0.3 of a cent Sunday—after prices rose 43 times in 45 days.

The average price is still a half-cent more than one week ago, 13.8 cents more than one month ago and $1.129 more than one year ago, according to the AAA Club and Oil Price Information Service.

There are still some stations in and around Hermosa Beach that sell gas for less than the average price. Prices are according to GasBuddy.com and reflect user-submitted information from the past 24 hours:
