Hermosa Prepares for the Bowl

Some of Pier Plaza's most popular restaurants and bars have already sent out invitations to view the Super Bowl game Sunday at their venues. Here are the top five Patch picks:

1. plans to have a live DJ get the party started before the game, along with a pre-game flip cup tournament. As the game will be shown on the venue's new plasma TVs, the bar will offer $2 mimosas, $3 bellinis, $3 bloody marys, and half off select pitchers of beer. The DJ will stick around for more fun after the game.
2. will be hosting a Super Bowl viewing party with bloody mary and mimosa specials before noon. Attendees are encouraged to call the restaurant now to book tables.
3. plans to host a "laid back" Super Bowl party with all-day drink specials. Menu items will remain the same and include the restaurant's specialties: BBQ chicken, calabreza, mesquite grilled vegetables and more. Also for this event, attendees are encouraged to make table reservations.
4. is organizing its annual Super Bowl party, and will raffle off a snowboard, riding cooler, flat screen TV, and other prizes during the game. The venue is also selling $20 tickets for a three-hour open bar, and plans to offer drink and food specials throughout the day.
5. It's not on Pier Plaza, but is throwing a Super Bowl party starting at 1 p.m. There will be all-day drink specials, beer bingo, a BBQ menu, and post-game trivia. The venue is accepting table reservations now.
