Metallic Balloons Spark Hermosa Power Outage

Southern California Edison is listing a completion time for repairs. See what time they project power will be back on by.

About 153 Southern California Edison customers in Hermosa Beach are without power as of post time. SCE's power outage website lists the power outage cause as "metallic balloons in equipment."

The SCE website also lists a power restoration time of 6:30 p.m. The power outage reportedly began at 1:56 p.m. The last update to SCE's power outage website was at 4:23 p.m.

The affected customers appear to be in the area of  Monterey Blvd. and Loma Ave., a block of two north of Pier Avenue.
