A power outage in the downtown area forced some businesses to close while others made the best of the situation, according a news report in the Easy Reader. Power has been restored, according to Southern California Edison's online power outage map which no longer shows any power out in Hermosa Beach.
Power went out around 6:30 p.m. The expected restoration time was midnight. A caise for the outage has yet to be reported.
