If you missed catching a glimpse or more of Wood Underwear during the two-day Charlie Saikley 6-Man Beach Volleyball Tournament in Manhattan Beach Tuesday and Wednesday, you'll have more opportunities to become acquainted with the brand this weekend.
Wood Owner and Hermosa Beach resident Terresa Zimmerman has smartly sponsored several beach events this summer, putting her new men's underwear line in full public view.
Just last weekend, the brand was at the CSLSA West Coast Lifeguard championships at the Newport Beach Pier and the Malibu Surf & Sport Festival at the Malibu Pier.
Through Sunday, Wood will continue to make a splash at the International Surf Festival, with her crew out and about at several events.
Friday night, Wood will be at the Los Angeles County Lifeguard Championships taking place in Hermosa Beach at the pier beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday, the savvy entrepreneur's brand will be at the California Beach Volleyball event that begins at 9 a.m. at the Hermosa Beach Pier area. Sunday, Wood will be at the Dwight Crum Pier-To-Pier Swim, which begins at the Hermosa Beach Pier and ends at the Manhattan Beach Pier.
Earlier this week at the 6-Man, Zimmerman's Wood Underwear, aka Team Wood, caused quite a stir, playing well enough in their debut appearance to make it to the second day of the competition.
Team members, most of whom are former Mira Costa High School graduates who played volleyball at the school, were Brian Cook, Eric Mochalski, Bryce Miller, Greg Faulkner, Gus Ellis, Dylan Ramey, Kyle Stevenson, Vaun Lennon, Connor Olbright, Skyler McCoy, Colten Echave and Connor Curry.
Wood Underwear is available in boxer briefs and boxer shorts in the brand's signature orange, grey, navy and black in sizes small through extra large. It can be purchased online, at SpyderSurf in Hermosa Beach and Equinox - South Bay on Rosecrans Avenue in Hawthorne.
Zimmerman, whose background in branding and marketing is catapulting Wood into an enviable position, has a Wood Facebook page that is fun, witty and loaded with photos.
