The 2012 celebration of the festival running from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on May 26 - 28 in downtown Hermosa Beach will provide free shuttle service and bike valet.

For three days, downtown Hermosa will be taken over by hundreds of artists and a festival atmosphere as what has been called the lreturns for the upcoming holiday weekend.

Paintings, photography, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry and more will be on display by more than 300 hundred artists at Fiesta Hermosa while guests can enjoy live music on two stages, a variety of 18 ethnic eats ranging from Greek to Thai, and the Charity Beer & Wine Garden, which will donate some of the proceeds to charity.

Tribute bands performing classic tunes by acts like the Doors, Jimi Hendrix and Santana will take the Main Stage on the pier while a second stage at the Charity Beer & Wine Garden provides a venue for country, rhythm and blues and rock 'n' roll. Click here for the music schedule.

On hand to entertain the youngsters with a 30-foot slide, rides and games is the Kiddie Carnival, also featuring a rock climbing wall and bungee jump. Petting zoo, pony rides and face painting will also be available.

In an effort to keep the festival green, a free bike valet service is being offered in addition to a free shuttle service.

Hermosa Cyclery attendants will provide air for tires and diagnostic check-ups on the south side of the pier as well as a guarded lot, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. throughout the weekend. The shuttle will run from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. out of the Northrop Grumman Parking Lot located at the intersection of Doolittle and Space Park Drives.

The festival itself will operate Saturday, May 26 to Monday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Hermosa Beach.

Now in its 40th year, the annual Fiesta Hermosa has taken place on Memorial Day every year since the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce first hosted it in 1972. They are hosting again this year, along with the Visitors Bureau.

In keeping up with the times, the chamber of commerce is posting a "Fiesta Companion" web site for mobile phone users to access updates and festival information. Follow their twitter feeds @HermosaChamber #FiestHermosa.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
