Food Network TV Chef Anne Burrell descended on Hermosa Beach for two days of filming her show "Chef Wanted" at Abigaile.
More than 100 diners participated in the show Wednesday, dining on cuisine prepared by chef contestants on the show. Abigaile closed Tuesday and Wednesday so the show could film.
As the show's crew moved through the dining room capturing the scene, Abigaile wait staff took orders and served the fare on the menu. Individual diners were interviewed about the food they were consuming, and Burrell frequently appeared in the dining room to watch the proceedings.
She also talked with diners on camera, gleaning their thoughts about the food.
Diners from as far away as Oceanside enjoyed the free fare as did folks from Hermosa, Montrose, Marina del Rey, Long Beach and Santa Monica. The show is expected to air in late summer/early fall, according to a crew member.
