Motorists Warned of Obama Traffic

Hermosa Beach drivers commuting to Los Angeles on Monday or Tuesday might face traffic snarls since the president will be in town.

Los Angeles city officials have warned locals that traffic in the area could slow Monday and Tuesday as President Barack Obama will be visiting the region for fundraising events.

"My office is currently in touch with the White House and the Secret Service to express concern over the potential traffic delays that have been seen in past presidential visit," said Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl in a statement Friday. "My office has also been in close communication with the Los Angeles Police Department and the Department of Transportation to ensure every effort is being made to direct traffic around the closures."

Obama previously visited the Los Angeles area in April, and a few roads were closed for the presidential motorcade.
