President Obama to Arrive at LAX

The President will travel to actor George Clooney's home in Studio City for a fundraiser.

Obama is scheduled to land at Los Angeles International Airport at 6:25 p.m. He is expected to travel by helicopter and motorcade to George Clooney's home in the Fryman Canyon neighborhood in Studio City, although his exact route is not being released.

Obama is scheduled to attend an evening fundraiser at Clooney's home. Studio City residents and commuters who travel through that area are advised to expect traffic delays.

Traffic delays could happen on Ventura Boulevard and Laurel Canyon Boulevard north of Ventura Boulevard, Krekorian said, due to road closures and tight security in the hills.

A planned protest by members of Campaign for a Fair Settlement outside the fundraiser could further snarl traffic. The group plans to call on Obama to be more aggressive in prosecuting banks for misconduct in the foreclosure crisis and "to help homeowners reset their mortgages to fair mortgage value."

Access to residential areas south of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City will be virtually sealed off from about 8 to 10 p.m., Krekorian said. "All local residents will need to show a current photo ID for home access," he said.

The Department of Transportation and the LAPD were working to minimize traffic impacts in the area, Krekorian said.

Obama is scheduled to spend the night in Beverly Hills and leave the city Friday morning.
