Patch reported some sad news for coffee drinkers Monday—the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on Hermosa Beach . The "lease was up at this location and they opted not to renew," said a company representative Monday.

405 Freeway closure

The contractor behind the massive 405 Freeway construction project for every 10 minutes construction exceeds the deadline for opening the freeway after the July 15-18 closure, officials said.

Fight stops traffic

A domestic violence incident during rush hour. Police reported that a wife and husband began to argue when the husband wouldn’t allow the wife (who had been drinking) to drive. Their 5-year-old child was in the back seat of the car. The wife was arrested on suspicion of battery and spousal battery.
