Change in leadership

Hermosa Beach Patch's Jacqueline Howard that she will be stepping down as editor to take a new position with The Huffington Post. Guest editor Anne Louise Bannon will replace Howard until a permanent editor is selected.

St. Patrick's Day parade postponed

Due to predicted storms this weekend, to take place March 24. "Safety concerns are the biggest factor in our decision to reschedule the parade," said Chamber Executive Director Maureen Hunt.

Residents want more info on oil settlement

Hermosa Beach residents protested the idea of allowing oil drilling in town. As locals demanded more details on the Macpherson Oil lawsuit settlement from officials, the council discussed working to inform the public.

Interim city manager update

John Jalili has been selected by the City Council to temporarily replace Steve Burrell as , city officials announced Tuesday. Jalili has extensive experience in city government.
