Earth Month Hero

Wonderland Trip

Casey Rohrer, 8, a student with cerebral palsy at Hermosa Valley School won a free trip to Morgan's Wonderland amusement park in San Antonio, Texas last year. He and his family visited the park, which provides fun and games to children and adults with special needs, last week. .

Dolphin Deaths

A total of 16 dolphins and one Dall's porpoise have been found dead or dying in Southern California since April 1. that domoic acid, a neurotoxin produced by algae blooms in ocean waters, have caused the sea mammals to become sick.

Water Origins

Dead Sea Lion

A dead sea lion washed ashore just north of the Hermosa Beach Pier on Saturday morning. that the sea lion might have fallen ill from ingesting domoic acid, which is believed to have harmed at least 10 other sea lions in Hermosa Beach.
