Wood Shows Off Hermosa Beach Collection at Sharkeez

If you've yet to catch the men in Wood Underwear, Monday night will provide ample opportunity to do so when the lads clad in the line's Hermosa Beach Collection strut their stuff during Sharkeez’ Fashion Industry Night.

Born and bred in Hermosa Beach, Wood Underwear is the brainchild of resident Terresa Zimmerman, who is enjoying her second year as creator of a brand with lots of buzz, not to mention wearers.

Models wearing the line are known to wander beach events such as Fiesta Hermosa and the Charlie Saikley 6-Man Beach Volleyball Tournament in Manhattan Beach.

“We encourage everyone to buy local," said Zimmerman, whose underwear is available at ET Surf, SpyderSurf and Equinox South Bay. "Every sale generates a donation of time and revenue to our official charities, the Surfrider Foundation and the National Park Foundation. Every event helps them, too.”

The Sharkeez event begins at 9 p.m. Monday and is a full runway show presented by Fashion Industry Night. More than 30 male and female models will be in the event, which includes giveaways. One hundred percent of the raffle proceeds from will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of oceans, waves and beaches, said Zimmerman.

According to Zimmerman, the Hermosa Beach Collection is made with a modal (from beech tree cellulose), cotton and elastane blend and comes in three leg lengths: a trunk, a 3” brief and a 6” biker brief. V-neck and round-neck undershirts complete the collection, which is available in nine "collegiate-inspired" colors (Wood orange, heather grey, navy, black, crimson red, forest green, Yellow, royal purple and blue) and comes in Wood Underwear’s signature box in single and multi-packs.
