The Redondo Pier Association invites the public to donate a new unwrapped toy valued at $5.00 or more and in return, donors will receive a "Taste of the Pier" savings ticket that can be used at one of the participating pier businesses through December 30, 2010. Toy donations will benefit local Redondo Beach charity, Cheer for Children, an all-volunteer organization founded in 1985 to help economically disadvantaged, physically challenged and acutely ill children in the South Bay. In exchange for each toy donation, donors can choose from a variety of savings across the pier.
