"Flights for Hope" Wine Tasting Fundraiser at Sangria in Hermosa Beach

Local cancer survivor and clothing designer, Alexis Vitale, is teaming up with Sangria Restaurant in Hermosa Beach for "Flights for Hope," a wine tasting fundraiser to benefit her non-profit and social network, HopesSong.org.  The event will feature wine tastings from the CambriaAcre and Giessinger Wineries from 7 to 9 pm, plus live entertainment, silent auctions and raffles to help raise money forHopesSong.org. "Flights for Hope" takes place Thursday, April 29th and is open to the public, ages 21 and over, for $15 per person at the door.

Vitale was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at age twenty-six and quickly identified opportunities for her to make a difference in the lives of other cancer patients.  Vitale decided to design a clothing line with comfortable yet attractive pieces for patients to wear when receiving treatments and proceeds from her line help those diagnosed with cancer pay their increasing medical bills. Vitale reached out to Sangria, a popular Hermosa Beach restaurant, to develop a fundraiser that would bring awareness and help raise money for her non-profit and social network, HopesSong.org.

Wine tasting is unlimited for the first hour (from 7 pm to 8 pm) with one tasting per winery for the final hour (from 8 pm to 9 pm.)  Sangria Restaurant is located at 68 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA.  For more information please visit www.Facebook.com/SangriaHB or emailAlexis@hopessong.org.
