Hermosa Beach Firefighters' 16th Annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast

The Hermosa Beach Firefighters Foundation is pleased to host their Annual Pancake Breakfast Sunday May 27th, 2012,  7:30 to 12 noon at the Hermosa Beach Fire Station located at 540 Pier Avenue during Fiesta Hermosa one of the South Bay’s biggest events.

The 16th annual event will showcase the culinary talents of Hermosa Beach Firefighters, Paramedics and EMT’s as they cook a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit and coffee.  Some of the ingredients have been donated by local South Bay area retailers such as Java Man (Hermosa Beach), Papa Cantella’s (Vernon), Simply Fruit, and many others.

In the past, this successful event has brought over 900 people together to kick off the start of summer during Fiesta Hermosa and last year raised almost $11,000. This year the Foundation is striving to exceed those figures.

In addition to serving breakfast there will be a silent auction and a raffle. The raffle ticket winner will get vacation accommodations for a family of 4 to either The Laguna Suites Golf and Spa or The Ocean Spa Hotel (based on availability) for 5 days and 4 nights, donated by Premier Cancun Vacations. Tickets are only $5.00 per chance and the vacation package must be redeemed by April 2013.

Other local businesses have donated the following auction items to round out the event: Custom made Standup Paddle Board with HB Firefighter Association logo (Becker Surf, Mangiangli’s Glass Shop and shaper Jose Barahona), Paddleboard accessories (tarzan Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Hermosa Beach), Strand Bike (Hermosa Cyclery), Childen’s Summer Camp (Starfish Acitivty Center), plus Big 5 Sporting Goods gift cards, Kate Spade handbag, Universal Studios Hollywood passes, Sea World passes, San Diego Hornblower Cruises & Events tickets, and much more.

In addition to the many businesses noted above, many others and a staff of volunteers continually step forward to support the HBFF and their mission of supporting local non profits in the community.  Some of the local charities in the South Bay that have benefited from the Hermosa Beach Firefighters Foundation are:  Hermosa Beach Education Foundation, Hermosa Beach Little League, Sandpiper Charity Organization, and many others.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 12 noon on Sunday, May 27th, 2012 at the Fire Station located at 540 Pier Avenue.  Cost is:  Children 4 years and under eat free, ages 5 – 12 years eat for $5.00 and those 13 years and older eat for $10.00.  Bidding on silent auction items and raffle ticket purchases will be available throughout the duration of the event.
