Summer of Color was the largest public art project in the U.S. and also one of the largest civic efforts in the world. For five months the LA County lifeguard towers – on 31 miles of beach - were transformed into a collective work of art.

WHO: kids 11 yrs old and up AND adults

(adults needed for 1 to 1 ratio for 11-16 and 1 to 2 ratio for ages 16-18)
WHAT: 240 volunteers to paint the railings of the lifeguard towers back to their original color – 14 lifeguard towers in HB and 10 in MB
WHEN: Sat, December 4 - 9am – 11:30am
WHY: to have fun with your friends on the beach, to be part of this amazing project and to serve your community
