Vitality City Initiative Focus Group - Walking School Bus & School Nutrition/Movement

The Hermosa Beach City School District is working with the Healthways/Blue Zones Vitality City initiative, a partnership with Beach Cities Health District. This gives the opportunity to improve the health and well-being of all community members. Your support and participation is requested in order to realize the full potential of this initiative. Please visit www.vitalitycity.com  and www.easyreadernews.com/2010/11/redondo-beach-news/vitality-city-bchd  for further information.

In January, HBCSD will be hosting Vitality City Focus Groups at which students, parents, school staff and other interested individuals will hopefully participate. These focus groups will help shape the "blue print" plan that will drive the initiative over the next 3 years. Participation  and promotional help in the Vitality City Focus Groups would be appreciated.

One of the first focus groups will be taking place shortly:

Walking School Bus & School Nutrition/Movement
Schools play a major role in developing healthy behaviors in children. The Vitality City Initiative offers numerous options specifically designed for the schools within a city. This focus group will gather people interested in improving the nutrition available to children during school and ideas for increasing activity throughout the school day.
