Basketball in Session at Hermosa Valley

Brian Loudermilk and Cole Aubrey, Hermosa Valley School students, write about playing basketball in P.E. class.

Editor’s Note: Hermosa Valley School’s sixth grade journalism class is using the Patch blog to post some of their work under the guidance of teacher Christine Duclos.

In Mr. Schlimmer's P.E. class students enjoy the unit of basketball and play in tournaments. From late November to early December students played basketball and developed new skills.

Mr. Schlimmer also chose four captains to pick teams for a basketball tournament in which all students now must participate.

There are two courts for a winner and loser so all four teams can play at the same time. Everybody has a great time and has fun in the new basketball unit.

We think other students in different classes and grade levels at Hermosa Valley School will love basketball too. When the basketball unit ends we will be sad but also happy to start a new unit of P.E.
