This year, Hermosa Valley School’s superintendent, Dr. Newlin, retired after three years of working for HBCSD. The school board talked, and they decided to put Mrs. Escalante up for the job. This change will affect almost everyone in the community, especially the students and staff, and the school board decided it would work out fine. The students are affected because they will have yet another principal, and it affects the staff because everyone will have a new boss come fall.
