Kelly Slater won the Hurley Pro, one of the biggest surf contests in the world.

Kelly won from lots of training and very hard work. He was competing with some of the best surfers in the world, but he still won. They had the contest at Lower Trestles at San Diego County Line because the waves were supposed to be really good that day, so they held the contest there, and the waves were actually really good.
Even though Kelly Slater won the Hurley Pro, and is now the best surfer in the world; the other surfers competing put up a really good fight.
