NWS: Christmas to Bring Sunshine in Hermosa Beach

The National Weather Service predicts Christmas Day to be sunny, with a high near 69.

The sun is predicted to shine bright on Christmas Day in Hermosa Beach, the National Weather Service's seven-day forecast reported Sunday night.

For Saturday, on the night before Christmas, skies are predicted to remain mostly clear, with a low around 47.

"It looks like the low pressure system is moving out, and by Friday we will have a nice high pressure flow," said NWS weather specialist Stuart Seto. "That means a nice warming trend will set up Friday."

Weather also appears calm statewide for Christmas weekend, according to the NWS.

When asked about weather for the Rose Bowl on Jan. 2, Seto laughed, "Oh, that's way too far ahead for us."
